Character drawings that focus on establishing size within a space and unusual perspectives to create mood. I decided to take a slightly different approach on this one on the right because although I understand the upsides of tactile life drawing, I wanted something done on my iPad so that I could play with layers and multiply/opacity settings.

I really enjoyed the lying down poses for this session, I’ve been doing life drawing for so long (around 8 years) at this point, that I really need something with a bit more oomf to feel like I’m learning.

I also felt like the facial expression exercise didn’t provide enough time. At no point am I having to draw a face in 30 seconds, at least a minute would have given me a chance to learn more from this exercise I think.
